Top 5 Detox Water Recipes For Rapid Weight Loss

Top 5 Detox Water Recipes for Rapid Weight LossI used to be a huge juice junkie, craving a glass of Cola with each meal and, worst of all, using it as a replacement for water when I was thirsty. My rationale was that I didn’t like how water “tasted” and I got into the habit of drinking soda, without realising that this “habit” was actually a chemical addiction to sugars.

Because I couldn’t switch cold-turkey to plain water, I decided to replace my sodas with flavored detox water. I tried over 50 recipes over the past few years and the results are amazing: beyond the benefit of replacing your soda cravings, Detox water also cleans up your liver and helps you burn fat. Adding certain flavors and ingredients also has diverse effects: cucumbers help digestions and are diuretics, lemons and grapefruit help stop cravings and clean out your digestive system and the list goes on and on. Here are 5 of my favorite detox water recipes:

Blackberry and Orange Detox Water
Blackberries bring antioxidants to the table and oranges are packed with fiber and Vitamin C, which can prevent the presence of ulcers and free radicals. For more intensity, simply twist oranges and squash berries and add some of the pulp in the glass.

One of the most refreshing combos out there, Lemon and Mint Detox Water is a perfect drink for daily usage and you can also use it as your mid-workout drink to keep you fresh between those tough reps. If you’re the type of person who doesn’t drink lots of water, this will definitely help you drink more and will work wonders for your skin and metabolism. Strawberry, Cucumber, Lime and Mint Water
This combination is one of my favorites, not only because it’s delicious, but also because it looks so darn pretty! If you’re a visual person like me, this colorful water can trick you to stay fully hydrated during the day. Adding to the benefits of the lime/mint combo mentioned above, the extra strawberries and cucumbers give the drink a bit more consistency and flavor, but also act as diuretics, helping your digestion.
